Swyft Filings is an online filing service for business formations. More importantly, we’re a company that has helped budding entrepreneurs start over 300,000 new businesses (and counting). Our mission is to empower the aspirational - and by that we mean we take a complex process and automate it to make it easier for small businesses and individuals to launch their business dreams without having to hire high-priced professionals or worrying about administrative headaches.

Since 2015, we’ve grown from a lawyer and two online entrepreneurs into a team of over 100 people strong – and you can bet we’re not done yet. How you will make an impact

  • Write, edit, and publish onsite web content, including blog articles, landing page copy, and search engine copy.
  • Craft content to optimize for search engine rankings, click-through rates, serving useful information that satisfies user intent, and conversions.
  • Conduct thorough research to communicate complicated small business and entrepreneurship for a general audience.
  • Use data from sources including keyword research, competitive audits, and SEM to develop new content pipelines.
  • Own content initiatives from ideation to execution.
  • Support and collaborate with the SEO, Product, and Marketing teams for cross-functional projects big and small, including copywriting, editing, and content optimization.
  • Manage a team of freelance writers to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of their content.
  • Manage deadlines and coordinate hand-offs between internal and external parties.
  • Work with SEO strategists and other partners to identify search opportunities and support the development of the editorial calendar around informative content for audiences at different points of their small business journey.
  • Complete regular updates to ensure our content is always the most relevant and accurate it can be for our audience.
  • Support monitoring and reporting on performance metrics, using data to guide the roadmap by continuously incorporating insights.
  • Report to the Director of Content Strategy within the SEO team.

What you need to succeed

  • Undergraduate degree with relevant coursework (English, Communications, Marketing, etc.), as well as quantitative aptitude.
  • Top-notch research skills, with the ability and willingness to eventually master topics like business filings, trademarking, etc.
  • Experience writing, editing, posting, and managing web content in a voice other than your own.
  • Willingness to manage relationships with contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage projects & expectations.
  • Impeccable editing and proofreading skills with a clear point of view.
  • A team player with a solid work ethic who is ready to take the reins, learn from mistakes, always move forward, and help build the next big thing in small business formation and management!

Desirable Additional Skills

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and keyword targeting as it applies to content creation, optimization, and conversions.
  • Experience working with tools for SEO content creation such as Clearscope, Grammarly, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
  • Experience writing/working in B2B SaaS.
