About You

This position is all about taking ownership of the chargeback functions for a rapidly-scaling organization. You will be responsible for driving efforts to minimize chargebacks. This will include developing processes, investing in the right tools, and building a team to directly impact the bottom line. As such, you’re a self-starter, an analyzer, a problem solver, and a team player – someone who can think on their feet, who has an unwavering positive attitude, and who is comfortable taking the initiative in an energetic, fast-paced environment. You can multi-task and juggle between different tasks, all with the goal of improving the customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of the payment disputes functions
  • Design processes to improve the payments process and minimize chargebacks
  • Develop a metric-driven team to improve the process while we scale
  • Design and monitor reports that capture deep insights into our dispute program including industry-standard chargeback reporting
  • Recognize and resolve systemic issues that occur during standard payment processing activities
  • Stay up to date on industry and technology trends as it relates to payments and disputes
  • Partner with the Customer Care, Data, and Operations teams to implement and monitor a best-in-class chargeback response program, and work to identify gaps, examine opportunities, and make recommendations to balance cost and performance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience with chargebacks preferably for large e-commerce companies
  • Knowledge and experience with the best-in-class tools that improve dispute resolution
  • An understanding of payment processing and the ability to work with them to improve dispute resolution and costs
  • The ability to analyze available data and problem-solve to continually improve the customer experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
