What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of all aspects of tax advisory services offered to Swyft Filings’ customers.
  • Building and managing a team that can scale with the organization to service thousands of new businesses. This role will start with your servicing customers, but we are looking for people who can grow into more of a management role to build out the team and process at scale.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize and improve the customer experience.
  • Develop training and processes for additional tax analysts that allows the service offering to scale efficiently.
  • Develop and report on performance to leadership showcasing core KPIs.
  • Assist with preparation and review of Federal, state, and local income tax returns for small businesses.
  • Advise clients about the tax preparation process.
  • Review the accuracy of data on tax forms based on all tax rules and regulations.
  • Handling communication from clients and tax authorities.
  • Providing future tax planning solutions to clients.
  • Analyzing tax data submitted by the client to maximize the outcome for the client.
  • Perform tax research, staying current on new tax trends and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize and improve the customer experience.
  • Develop training and processes for additional tax analysts that allows the service offering to scale efficiently.
  • Develop and report on performance to leadership showcasing core KPIs.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation required. (Master’s degree in taxation preferred)
  • CPA or EA license preferred
  • Registration with the IRS with a valid PTIN.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ individual tax return preparation experience.
  • Good knowledge of tax preparation software.
  • Excellent computational ability.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience managing or overseeing others in a tax advisory setting.
